FB 170259. 9’0” E.C. POWELL 2/1 [missing 2nd tip]. 4 3/4 oz. #7 line. “Steelhead C” action. 4.5/64” tip; 16/64” mid; Wells grip; U/L bright alum. screw-lock ["E.C. No. 1932986” in ink on shaft by the hook keeper; one intermediate wrap between each guide; 8 intermediates between butt & first guide. 2-up node staggering. In orig. bag & replacement crinkle-brown alum. Tube. [Cat. 2017.] FB 17-0259 hp. - This rod pushes a DT-7F line in a beautiful driving loop. It is a joy to cast, and would be fun to fish on summer steelhead. An expert restorer has done a suburb job on refinishing this rod. The only blip is a slight blob of varnish on the bottom snake guide on the tip. The cork grip is a faithful replica of an E.C. Powell grip. The writing on the butt has been preserved, & all the guide wraps are in the correct place. The only variation is in the wrap on the tip top. Powell usually wrapped all the way up the shaft to near the eye; this wrap is only half ways up the shaft. All sections straight & full-length. As New Restored. $695
