Howells/ 8’ 9” 4 3/4 oz. #4011” [1973] in black ink on butt; marked “4011” in ink at base of tip; wraps brown silk tipped yellow over chrome snakes & tip top on medium-toned varnished bamboo; carbaloy stripper; N/S ferrules overwrapped with thread; tipped maroon silk at trim wrap on butt; 3-up node staggering]; in original red cloth bag & Howells tube & Label: “G.H. This rod would be a light steelhead rod, ideal to fish on the Klamath or Trinity in California, or the Bulkley, Kispiox, or Copper Rivers in BC.
